Respite (2022)

Respite is an expansion upon the ideas I was beginning to explore in Contraband. 

It's my hope that after a life of undeserved suffering we can become the Earth. It should be like a sigh of relief. For all your worldly suffering, you are rewarded with an eternity of peace.

When I am the Earth again, I imagine I'll be able to join my ancestors in a field of wheat, overlooking a pasture, enjoying an eternal sunrise while the wind hums.

This piece was unfortunately destroyed in the Flooding from Hurricane Helene.

This piece was incredibly near and dear to me, but I lay it to rest for now.
