Lamb Bassinet (2024)

Rattan Reed, Foam, Faux Fur

This bassinet was hand-woven from rattan reed and lined with a foam mattress coated in faux wolf fur.

I researched many different traditional weaving styles, bassinet patterns, and basket forms before settling on this simplistic shape and decorative rim. 

I wanted to explore the idea of retribution through this piece, so it was important to me to incorporate a fur lining that might imply some sort of overthrowing of the natural order.
